Seven Canberra suburbs have units for sale under $400,000, according to new data from Domain.
From suburbs with more than 50 sales in the 12 months to June 2019, Bruce has the lowest median value at $349,000, according to Domain.
Over the year, the suburb’s unit values dropped 12.7%. Its median price is also 16.9% lower than five years ago, the data showed.
Bruce also has the greatest difference between mortgage repayments and rent. It is $77 more per week to rent in the suburb than it is to buy. The median weekly asking rent for the suburb is $420, while mortgage repayments are $343 a week, according to the data.
Harrison has the second-lowest median unit price at $357,750, with Philip coming in third.
The other four suburbs with unit prices under $400,000 are Belconnen, Gungahlin, Greenway, and Lyneham, the data showed.
