A group of Sydney's largest property industry figures have been enlisted by the city's council in its bid to create a 'greener' CBD.
According to reports in The Australian Financial Review, Lord Mayor Clover Moore said discussions with major property owners covered a range of changes such as the heights of commercial buildings and future developments.
"We have invited the top 12 property owners in the city, which represent about 60% of office space, to partake with us on sustainability. I am encouraged by their enthusiasm to work with us," she said.
Groups believed to have been consulted include Valad Property Group, which is planning on increasing the size of its Gold Fields House building near Circular Quay.
