After watching a touching story on Today Tonight, Your Investment Property would like to help the MacKinnon family of Byron Bay to raise enough money to pay for expensive cancer treatments that had to take place overseas.
Ashley MacKinnon, a single father of two, supported his wife Leah Chapman as she battled breast cancer and numerous brain tumours. To fund her treatments, which were not available in Australia, the MacKinnon's travelled to the US to try the latest medical technology available, which at the time produced positive results.
Unforturtunately, Leah lost her battle to cancer and passed away from liver failure four years ago. Since that time, the MacKinnon family has struggled to repay the medical bills yet still has a debt of AU $400,000, leaving Ashley and his two young children dwindling on the brink of bankruptcy.
Instead of handing over his home near Byron Bay valued at $650,000 for a $400,000 debt, Ashley is hoping to attract at least 5000 people at $100 an entry, to win this gorgeous property. The house is situated on a 10 acre property, and has water views.
To win this prize, entrants must design a Facebook page promoting Cyber-Knife radiation therapy to raise awareness and hopefully make this treatment available here in Australia.
