Lots of work still to do, including:
- About to start 2 coats of waterproofing in the bathroom
- Pulling up all the carpet and floor coverings
- Working on the lounge room and repairing the plaster
- Undercoating ceilings and walls
Starting Waterproofing In Bathroom
This is a very important job to make sure it is right. If not it can obviously cause real problems and cost a fortune. Luckily it all went well and was successfully completed.
I also had to replace the bottom of the wall. The water had got through over the years and rotted out the bottom wall plate.
Undercoat rolled on in lounge room & entrance & roof
In the bathroom, the shower has been roughed in for all the piping. Also, the bath and the vanity unit are both now ready to go in.We've still got a long way to go in the bathroom, but we are making progress.
Preparing the walls and ceiling before painting
As you can see we've now prepared the walls put some nail holes in the ceiling.
We've removed a couple of power-points that were oddly right behind the shower, and moved them across to the other side.
We also stripped off the wallpaper and repaired all the wear and tear on the walls. So in conclusion, we're now ready to paint.
