For Shaynna Blaze, the expert interior designer and co-host of Selling Houses Australia, when styling homes her mindset is that design is not only about aesthetics but about creating an atmosphere.
“It’s not just about how you profi t from and beautify a home but about the importance of your home being your oasis, as it has a huge e ect on your mood, health and relationships,” she says.
Blaze is not just focused on tangible beauty either. In the midst of the glitz and glamour of her life as an in-demand television personality, she finds her own oasis in travelling.
“I was late to the travel game, but it’s an incredible investment as you learn so much about other cultures and history. Most of all, it’s a way to find the ‘you’ that has been hiding away,” she says.
“Travel has allowed me to have experiences I could never have dreamed of, and to connect with my kids as adults. It has given me perspective on what I want at different stages of life. It’s even educated me in design!”
