Rebecca Hona loves renovating, and her passion project is the revamping of her southern Sydney home.
She got her start in property when she was just a teenager in 2001, with help from her parents. Her first house sold at a significant profit three years later, igniting a passion for property inside her and setting her on her career path.

Hona is now a cornerstone of property investment firm wHeregroup with partner Todd Hunter. She has invested all over Australia and in the US, but it is Geelong that holds a special place in her heart.
“There was a property I bought sight unseen with a local agent in Geelong, and I secured this deal for myself with my partner. I paid $195,000 for it and have offers right now of $395,000,” she says.
Her international investments have also paid off, with a property she bought in Detroit generating a massive 22% gross yield and considerable capital growth.“For me, property is a stepping stone until you are where you want to be. My life is like living the game of Monopoly – property has allowed me to do my dream job and live my dream life!”
